Chris Hemsworth’s luxury replica watches collection is up there with the best, and the man known primarily for playing the God of Thunder in the Thor franchise once again flashed some sexy new wrist candy on the red carpet this week for the Australian premiere of the much-anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder. Thus far, Natalie Portman’s guns may have received a lot of the attention circling around the release of this movie but Hemworth’s Octo Finissimo Automatic in Sandblasted Rose Gold – worth £38,600 – certainly turned heads in Sydney.
Now relieved from his duties as brand ambassador for cheap replica TAG Heuer, in which he appeared in the brand’s ad-campaigns, it has been nice to see Hemsworth express himself with watches of his own choosing rather than those worn out of a contractual obligation.
A few weeks ago, at the premiere of his Netflix movie, Spiderhead – a sci-fi thriller also starring Miles Teller – he was seen wearing a perfect replica Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40mm with the ice blue dial to match his shirt and steely baby blue eyes. Rolex lovers will know that the Day-Date with a smooth bezel was discontinued this year in place of a fluted bezel, but here Hemsworth’s Day-Date appears to have diamonds all around the bezel, not dissimilar to one of Drake’s go-to Swiss made fake Rolexes. It’s a baller move for the Australian actor, albeit not out of character when you consider some of his other recent watch choices.
Last year, we spotted him in an 18-carat rose-gold and navy 41mm AAA replica Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and last month at the premiere for Interceptor, a military thriller starring his wife, Elsa Pataky, we spied another Gerald Genta designed classic, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton.
